Encourage kids, teens and parents to explore their natural yoga abilities in an active, safe and fun way that honours the diversity of each participant’s flexibility and strength. YogaFit Kids! is a fun, playful class where kids can move energy through their body and bring calm to their minds.

YogaFit Kids! is ideal for:

  • promoting physical development and a positive attitude toward physical activity
  • building self-esteem, focus, and concentration
  • improving strength, flexibility, body awareness, and neuromuscular coordination
  • complementing other sports training by helping to prevent injury and improve coordination
  • helping to find balance in busy and active lives, relieving overall stress, and helping to develop poise and confidence
  • helping teens and adolescents to develop a healthy relationship with their changing bodies and a positive image of themselves
  • creating a totally positive, supportive and non-competitive environment where we use cooperative learning activities to build trust
  • providing an inclusive environment that allows children to participate at their own level.

In YogaFit Kids! you’ll:

  • learn how to instruct children and teens in basic poses that are safe, effective and fun
  • learn how to put together YogaFit Kids! classes that are suitable for various developmental stages of childhood
  • discover mindful movement, breathing activities, share circles, laughter yoga, partner yoga, and many other cooperative learning games and activities
  • learn how to help your participants develop character, creativity, and positive social interaction,
  • help improve intelligence and awareness around emotional, physical and kinaesthetic balance.


What will I receive?

Included in your course registration, you’ll receive the YogaFit Kids! manual.

What should I bring to the course?

A mat and YogaFit, by Beth Shaw (2nd edition). If you don’t have one, you can purchase this at the time of enrolment or simply give us a call to arrange one.

How long is the course?

YogaFit Kids! is an intensive one-day course (typically from 8am to 6pm each day, although times may vary).

How many CECs will I get?

At present, CECs/PDPs are currently pending.

What are the prerequisites to attend?

All attendees should hold at least a Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent and have successfully completed YogaFit Fundamentals.
